Megan Mutcheson practices exclusively in family law. She understands that separation and divorce are never easy, and she enjoys being able to guide her clients with caring expertise through difficult and emotional times. Megan always seeks to help her clients resolve their family law matters in a fair, cost-effective, and timely manner.

Megan is a dedicated and effective advocate for her clients. She prides herself on being a compassionate yet tenacious negotiator and litigator.

In 2008, Megan completed an undergraduate degree in Sociology, Legal Studies and Criminology with honours at the University of Waterloo. She then obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Queen’s University in 2011. While at Queen’s, Megan completed the Clinical Family Law Program whereby she had the opportunity to clerk for two of Kingston’s Family Court judges. Megan was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012 after completing her articles with a large Bay Street litigation firm. Megan joined Martin & Hillyer Associates in December 2021.

A prairie girl at heart, Megan’s family moved to the Milton area in the early ‘80s. After years of working and living in downtown Toronto, Megan is thrilled to have returned to Halton to live closer to her family in Burlington. Outside of her family law practice, Megan is a total ‘foodie’ who adores cooking and baking for the people she loves. She enjoys staying active, whether at the gym, on the golf course or ball diamond.
